Our eighth grade class from Manitou Springs Middle School has embarked on an eight-month, multi-media publishing project that has focused on the Manitou Springs business community. Each student interviewed and researched a local business about what makes their firm unique. We then transformed these conversations into narratives that tell the back story of each company, business owner, and of Manitou itself.

The student authors will share all profits from the book. This project has allowed students to thoughtfully engage the business community of Manitou Springs. In turn, students have taken the entrepreneurial spirit of the community to heart as they have promoted the book throughout our community.
