Peak Reader Tutoring Training

There is a no-cost Peak Reader tutoring training scheduled from 5:30-8:00 on June 3rd, 4th, and 5th at the Children's Literacy Center, 2928 Straus Lane (4 blocks west of Filmore and I-25). Please announce to your teachers, parents, secondary students and interested community and school volunteers. Since there is now a charge for these trainings hosted in our district and locally, this is a good opportunity for us because there will be no charge for Manitou folks to attend on June 5th. For any parents, middle or high school students, or community volunteers who would be interested in tutoring during the summer months, this Peak Reader background training is required, and the timing is perfect to launch one-on-one summer reading support for elementary students. Individual tutor times are somewhat flexible and will be arranged by tutor/student availability, but 2 one-hour sessions are recommended per week for the weeks scheduled.
