Manitou Springs School District believes that all students can learn when appropriate supports are in place. Each building has a mechanism to problem solve for student success. We have provided global information here regarding two general education initiatives, RtI (Response to Intervention) and 504.

  • Special Education
    MSSD 14 is dedicated to the belief that all students should be prepared to enter “life after High School” with as great a level of independence as possible.
  • Gifted Education
    Students whose abilities, talents, and potential for accomplishment are so exceptional or developmentally advanced that they require special provisions to meet their educational needs
  • English Language Learners
    All students who come to Colorado schools speaking a language other that English are screened to determine their English proficiency.

  • Ute Pass Elementary
    Ute Pass Elementary School, serves the historic communities of Cascade, Chipita Park, Green Mountain Falls, and Crystola.
  • Manitou Springs Elementary
    MSES is a relationships-based school based on the development of the whole child
  • Manitou Springs Middle School
    MSMS are a diverse community of approximately 345 students and 40 adults.
  • Manitou Springs High School
    Families have been making the choice to send their students to MSHS or more than 100 years.
