welcome to MSSD14 Special Programs
On this site you will find information regarding many of the student support systems that are in place at each of our schools, as well as forms, parent information and links to helpful sites. While we have tried to make this site as comprehensive as possible, no web page can replace a conversation with a person. If you have additional questions, or are looking for information we did not post, don’t hesitate to contact a building representative or myself.
In District 14 we believe about learners and learning that:
∗ Students have different learning styles & abilities
∗ Learning should be exciting and challenging
∗ All students can learn, but not always at the same rate
∗ There should be high standards for learning
∗ Learning should occur in the context of real-world situations
∗ Learning should be an enjoyable process
∗ Learning should focus on the educational needs of individual students
∗ Learning experiences should reflect the developmental growth of students
∗ Learners have a natural and intrinsic desire to know
* Students should learn skills to evaluate and discuss their own educational progress
Excellence is the result of
Caring more than others think is wise,
Risking more than others think is safe,
Dreaming more than others think is practical
& Expecting more than others think is possible.
