Home Schooling in Colorado

Homeschooling is recognized as a non-public education option in Colorado. Parents or guardians may file a Notice of Intent with any school district in the state. Because homeschooling is largely unregulated in Colorado, the parent or guardian assumes full responsibility for the student's education. This includes, but is not limited to, selecting and obtaining curriculum materials, books, supplies, and assessments, as well as maintaining the student's permanent educational records.
