Welcome to Manitou Springs School District 14

We are delighted to welcome you to Manitou Springs School District 14 (MSSD14), where we believe every student is known, valued, and inspired to thrive. Our district is uniquely situated at the base of Pikes Peak in the beautiful mountain town of Manitou Springs, Colorado—a place where natural beauty, history, and innovation converge to create a truly exceptional educational experience.

MSSD14 serves a diverse and dynamic population of students from preschool through 12th grade, encompassing the communities of Manitou Springs, Crystal Park, Green Mountain Falls, Cascade, and Chipita Park. Our district includes Manitou Springs Elementary School, Ute Pass Elementary School, Manitou Springs Middle School, and Manitou Springs High School, each offering a supportive, rigorous, and personalized learning environment.

We are proud to be a district of choice, welcoming students from outside our attendance boundaries who are seeking a student-centered, community-driven education. Our students benefit from small class sizes, highly qualified and passionate teachers, and a wide range of programs designed to meet the needs of all learners. From gifted and talented services to special education support, from career and technical education to college preparatory courses, our schools provide meaningful pathways that help students explore their interests and reach their full potential.

At the high school level, students have the opportunity to challenge themselves academically through a strong selection of Advanced Placement (AP) courses. These college-level classes allow students to deepen their knowledge in subjects such as English, mathematics, science, social studies, and the arts while potentially earning college credit. Our AP program supports academic rigor and prepares students for post-secondary success, whether they choose to attend college, enter the workforce, or pursue other opportunities.

We also place a strong emphasis on child development. Character education, wellness initiatives, social-emotional learning, and a district-wide focus on inclusion and respect help students grow into compassionate, responsible citizens. Our extracurricular offerings—including athletics, arts, robotics, outdoor education, and leadership opportunities—empower students to discover their strengths and contribute to our community in powerful ways.
