Board of Education
The Manitou Springs School District Board of Education serves as the voice of the community, guiding the district in its mission to continually improve student achievement. In alignment with state and federal laws, the Board sets policies and regulations that support the success of all students. Key responsibilities of the Board include:
- Hiring and evaluating the superintendent
- Developing and approving district policies, curriculum, and the annual budget
Contact Board of Education
Any member of the community who would like to participate in Public Comment will need to email Erika Warren (ewarren@mssd14.org) by 4:15 p.m. on the day of the meeting. She will then email you a link to join the meeting. When it is time for Public Comment, you will have 3-minutes to speak to the Board of Education.
The following individuals may be eligible to address the Board during a public comment period (Policy BEDH)
- Residents of the district.
- Parents/legal guardians of students enrolled in district schools.
- Members of the staff.
- Individuals who have been requested by the Superintendent or the Board President to present a given subject.
- Nonresidents of the district who previously have requested and received the permission of the Superintendent or the Board President.

Attendance & Participation
The Board of Education encourage all members of the community to stay involved in the governing process by attending meetings in person or on-line.
